Born Paul David Hewson, Bono’s musical legacy is from his front man status in the Irish pop-rock band U2. Known as a singer, poet, activist and performer, he embodies the socially conscious rock star, decked out in tinted wraparound shades while addressing the United Nations. Bono plays the front man role to a tee, with a sweeping ability to rock out huge arenas and gi-normous venues with power and grace.
